Branches & Bones was shot at Vallø Castle in Denmark and is another collaboration with my Danish Body Canvasco-director Julie Schmidt Andreasen. It was supported and funded by StevnsKommune and throughout January the film has been having its Danish Premieres with rolling screenings in two libraries: Store Heddinge Bibliotek and Hårlev Bibliotek.
Click on the banner for the journal of my time filming in Denmark with stories, images and the discovery of five unplanned films. These include an omitted section of Branches & Bones, a photographic portrait and a short dance film shot on a Copenhagen beach. It's the first entry of my new section Additional Work & Articles; an outlet for elaborating on other aspects of my work such as guest speaking at Bradford International Film Festival in 2014 and highlighting significant events such as A Film By Abigail premiering at BAFTA as an opening film. As the section expands, I'll also talk of creative processes, experimentation and issues faced with specific films such as my science fiction short MARS-II and upcoming pieces of work like Lost In The Nameless City(unreleased as a complete film).
