A child discusses her new toy video camera she received for Christmas; leading her to create and explain the characters and plot of an intricate story for a film.
Short documentary A Film By Abigail has been in official selections, screened in galleries & award nominated around the world including London Short Film Festival where it screened at the Institute of Contemporary Arts, at Los Angeles County Museum of Art and as the opening film at BAFTA for its world premiere as part of a private short film showcase.
The film was part of the "Best of Fest" category at San Diego Comic-Con & opened the "London Shorts Special" curated by London Short Film Festival and introduced by director Philip Ilson at the 25. Internationales FilmFest Emden-Norderney in Germany which presented British short films with tea, jam and scones! It has screened consistently from 2012 to 2016 including award nominations in Indonesia, India, UK, USA & at Tirana International Film Festival (Albania). The film has been screened educationally in Rouen (France), in the Epiphany School's art curriculum in Manhattan, New York and made part of the Ginkgo Projects video library in an NHS Edinburgh hospital.
