#3   THE  NEXT  ROOM
RODDY  SKEAPING  &  Le  COLLECTIF  INTERNATIONAL  DES  IMPROVISATEURS
AT  BARBICAN  CENTRE

The Next Room was: "an audience led, multi-faceted, interactive project developed through the Open LAB scheme at Barbican Centre / Guildhall."

Deep underground in the Pit Theatre; dancers, musicians, technicians and artists prepare for The Next Room. A versatile, improvisational and lively piece from director Roddy Skeaping and Le Collectif International des Improvisateurs.

#2   MEMORIES  THROUGH  LINE  &  COLOUR
  ANNA  JUNG  SEO
  at  VYNER  STREET  GALLERY  [@VYNERGALLERY]

Korean artist Anna Jung Seo's 'MEMORIES THROUGH LINE & COLOUR' was a varied & colourful exhibition curated from years of work for Anna. Using her home window as a type of portal or frame to the world outside looking at the London cityscape, Anna's expressive pieces have a common theme but vary in tone, style & technique, opening up the onlooker to a plethora of emotions & points of view. From the PRESS RELEASE Anna says: "Rooftops & walls momentarily tremble by the shadow. They transform from ordinary into the sublime... When I see the view, I observe what I feel & I paint what I felt"

#1   PAINTFORMANCE
JULIE  SCHMIDT  ANDREASEN
AT  THE  PLACE  ( LONDON  CONTEMPORARY  DANCE  SCHOOL )

'PAINTFORMANCE' explored the communication & reactions between movement/dance & drawing/painting. Danish student (dancer & choreographer) Julie Schmidt Andreasen mixed an assortment of mediums for her installation such as film, photography, dance & drawing. Developed over many months of experimentation & rehearsal; it was the culmination of the collaborative efforts of artists that Julie had recruited to work together, resulting in a cocktail of imagery, retrospection on the themes & live dance/sound performance.
