The Divine Visions of Hildegard von Bingen is a film commission from Filthy Lucre supported by
the Arts Council & directed by Paul Vernon. The film is an interpretation & visualisation of visions supposedly bestowed by God upon the German mystic & nun which lead her to invent natural sciences, languages, paintings, writings & music.
The film premiered at Hackney Showroom with a live score and vocalist for its intended event Lingua Ignota, a Filthy Lucre concert themed around invented languages. It has also screened at the Stone Nest on Shaftesbury Avenue and was in the official selection for the
Lisbon Film Rendezvous in Portugal.
