The Body Canvas has been invited into the catalogue of the Art Video International Film Festival of Cannes. This puts the dance film amongst other works that may be marketed and potentially acquired for screening and exhibition in anything from galleries to corporate settings with respective filmmakers' approval. The festival is trialling the method of having a market for their curated art films and it'll be interesting to see what might come of it for myself and co-director Julie Schmidt Andreasen.

The Body Canvas is a short dance film dipping its toe into documentary that was shot in black and white observing conversations between dance, drawing, painting and filmmaking. It was broadcast worldwide by Berlin arts channel ikono TV, screened for Young Choreographers 2015 at Huset-KBH in Copenhagen and had its premiere in London at the Zealous X exhibition (Oxo Tower Wharf).
