I have been working as a 1st Assistant Director for feature documentary Postcards From The 48% directed by David Nicholas Wilkinson at different points over the last few months. David is a long serving British producer and distributor with his company Guerilla Films which champions UK filmmakers. Despite his career longevity in cinema, he only directed his first feature film documentary The First Film in 2015 about Louis Le Prince being the first creator of moving images and thus exploring the mystery of cinema's origins; which was released to much praise.
Now David and the filmmakers that have joined him have set out to capture the views of prominent EU "remainers" and the battle being waged to oppose a "hard Brexit" with some trying to stop the act of leaving entirely. The film has been featured in the The New European, The Guardian and David was recently interviewed on Bulgarian TV regarding the film and EU vote. What's especially interesting is the impression that many EU countries seem to have, of the UK, with Bulgaria as an example, where the closeness of the infamous figure of 48% to remain and 52% to leave is overlooked by the falsehood that it was an overwhelming vote to part ways with the EU. In the video below, David explains the film's ethos and how you can support it: Despite the successful campaign with crowd-sourcing funds, the money accumulated was modest for a film of this size and the project still needs boosts of financial support from generous and like-minded people so that it can be finished as intended. This film is documenting an unrepeatable moment in time and producing a long-standing recorded document of the people who dared to push back upon the uncertain path that was narrowly voted on by the UK public. Highlights of those appearing in the film are Ian McEwan, A.C. Grayling, Joan Bakewell, Alastair Campbell, Nick Clegg, Patrick Stewart and Bob Geldoff. There are also many people you do not know who have incredible stories to tell and add to the subject, the debate.  From the new London Grammar album "Truth Is A Beautiful Thing", I worked on the music videos for the first single released "Oh Woman, Oh Man". I mainly assisted with the stop animation in the videos using coloured sand and skulls. You can watch both videos which came out of the shoot below: 
A production I worked on as Assistant Camera / Director and directed by Paul Cockcroft has launched as the Kickstarter video for fresh new fashion brand Joey Wears. You can watch the video below and visit their page to pledge money to their unique and innovative underwear, with plenty of incentives to do-so such as receiving the underwear itself. They're performing spectacularly well with 27 days remaining and their goal of £15,000 already surpassed, guaranteeing them the money raised.
